Historically, this company was founded on July 1st, 2003, by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. As of now, this company has its main office in Tesla Road, Austin, Texas, United States of America.  With the help of Elon Musk as an investor and leader in this company. Tesla has now become one of the biggest automotive companies in the World. Elon Reeve Musk, or known as Elon Musk was born on June 28, 1971, they also founded PayPal in 1999.  He joined Tesla in 2004 and still became the CEO of Tesla until now. In automotive products, Tesla has launched some electric cars, namely the Model 3, Y, S, X and Cyber Truck. Besides producing cars, they also produce some green products, namely lithium-ion batteries, Solar Panels.

These factories are in Giga Nevada (Gigafactory 1), Giga New York (Gigafactory 2), Giga Shanghai (Gigafactory 3), Giga Berlin (Gigafactory 4), and Giga Texas (Gigafactory 5). They can expand or build new factories because of the bright future of Electric cars. Nowadays, as of 2023, total employees of tesla reached 100 thousand.

Furthermore, Operationally, in 2024, according to Tesla's annual report, based on the vehicle statistics, total production of all model Tesla reaching 1,773,443 units. Specifically, Tesla model 3 and model Y still become the flagship models with total production achieving 1,679,338 units.   Furthermore, of all models, Tesla successfully delivers 1,789,226 units of vehicle to its customers.

In 2010, the asset of Tesla was just 386 million US Dollars with equities of around 207 million US Dollars. After a decade, in 2024, the total assets of Tesla become 122 billion US Dollars and Equities become 73.7 billion US Dollars.
