In 1980, the World’s production of Sugarbeet reached 267 million tonnes with harvested areas around 8 million hectares worldwide. Meanwhile, in 2021, the production of the sugar beet reached 270 million tonnes with harvested areas around 4.3 million hectares (Ha). Basically, the harvested areas has declined from 1980 to 2021. Meanwhile, based on the Productivity of the crops, the Yield has increased from 30 tonnes/hectare in 1980 and it had become 61 tonnes / hectares in 2021.

1.Russian Federation
Russia became the biggest producer of sugar beet in 2021. Statistically, the production of sugar beet reaches 41 million tons. In this country, large-scale companies have a strategic role in influencing sugar beet production. They can contribute 88 percent of national production. Geographically, there are some districts in Russia which become the main area of sugar beet production. The Central Federal District still become the major producer of sugar beets, followed by the Volga Valley Federal District and the Southern Federal District.
2.France

Geographically, in Ukraine, there are the top five regions with the biggest sugar beet production. these areas are Vinnytsya with forty-nine thousand hectares, Poltava with 25.5 thousand hectares, Khmelnytsky with 24.5 thousand hectares, Kyiv with 21.8 thousand hectares, and Ternopil with 19.8 thousand hectares.

China became the nineth-biggest producer of sugar beet in 2021 and the biggest from Asia country. Statistically, the production of sugar beet 7.8 million tons. Geographically, there are some provinces in China with the biggest production of sugar beet. these areas are Inner Mongolia with six million tons of harvested sugar beet in 2019, followed by Xinjiang with four million tons, and the other includes Hebei, Heilongjiang, Gansu, and Liaoning.
