from Malaysia- Malaysia still become one of the world’s largest
country producers of Palm Oil in 2024. According to the report of FAO
Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT) in 2026, the production of oil palm
fruits in 2023 from Malaysia reached 94.9 million tons and palm oil reached
18.5 million tons. With this output, Malaysia still becomes the 2nd world’s
largest country producer of Oil Palm Fruits and palm oil in 2023.
Proportionally, this output of fruits and palm oil was just behind Indonesia
with total production reaching 220 million tons and 47 million tons,
respectively.

Ta Ann Holdings Berhad has 13 oil palm estates covering over 72,499 hectares
and operates 3 CPO mills. In terms of operational performance, the FFB's
production of Ta Ann Holdings Berhad in 2024 reached 666,005 tons with total
CPO production around 273,261 tons.

13. Hap Seng Plantations Holdings Berhad
Hap Seng Plantations Holdings Sdn Bhd was
incorporated in Malaysia as a private limited company on 18 April 2007. To
date, Hap Seng Plantation has a total landbank of 39,103
hectares and planted area remained at 34,856 hectares as of 31 December 2024.
Specifically, the estate managed by this group spread across the Jeroco Group
of Estates (JGOE), Tomanggong Group of Estates (TMGOE), Sungai Segama Group of
Estates (SSGOE), Ladang Kawa Estate, Pelipikan and Kota Marudu Estates.
Furthermore, in terms of processing facilities, The Hap Seng Plantations
operates four mills including Jeroco Palm Oil Mill 1, Jeroco Palm Oil Mill 2,
Tomanggong Palm Oil Mill and Bukit Mas Palm Oil Mill. In terms of operational
performance, Hap Seng Plantations produces Fresh Fruit Bunches around 649,070
tons and Crude Palm Oil around 146,595 tons.
Financially, in 2024, Hap Seng Plantations Berhad
has total assets of around MYR 2.59 billion or equivalent to USD 0.67 billion
with total liabilities of around MYR 0.49 billion or equivalent to USD 0.12
billion. In terms of business of business performance in 2024, Hap Seng
Plantations successfully gained total revenue of around MYR 0.752 billion or
equivalent to USD 0.19 billion with net income of around MYR 0.267 billion or
equivalent to USD 0.069 billion.
14. Kretam Holdings Berhad
Incorporated on February 4th, 1988, Kretam Holding
group has 24,761 hectares of plantation land spreading across main regions
including Sandakan region, Lahad Datu region, and Tawau region. In the
downstream operations relating to oil palm, currently, Kretam Holding has 3
fully operational palm oil mills with a total processing capacity of 135 metric
tons per hour, a refinery with a processing capacity of 1,500 metric tons of
crude palm oil (CPO) per day and a biodiesel plant producing 300 metric tons of
PME per day.
Financially, according to its annual report in
2024, Kretam Holding has total assets of around MYR 1.28 billion or equivalent
to USD 0.33 billion and total liabilities of around MYR 0.238 billion or
equivalent to USD 0.07 billion. Related to business performance in 2024, Kretam
Holdings Berhad successfully had total revenue of around MYR 0.73 billion or
equivalent to USD 0.189 billion with net income of around MYR 0.17 billion or
equivalent to USD 0.044 billion.
15. BLD Plantation Berhad
The business structure of BLD Plantation Berhad is divided into 3 main divisions (plantation,
milling, refinery and crushing) and other supporting activities. In the
plantation, BLD Plantation Berhad has a total landbank of approximately 51,000
hectares (Ha) in the State of Sarawak, of which about 60% are oil palm planted
areas. Furthermore, BLD Plantation Berhad has two mills namely Sawai Palm Oil
Mill (located at Sawai Land District, Miri) and Igan Palm Oil Mill (located at
Kabang Land District, Sibu) whose processing capacity of each
mill is 60 metric tons of FFB per hour.
BLD Plantation Berhad has total assets of around
MYR 1.25 billion or equivalent to USD 0.325 billion with total liabilities of
around MYR 0.429 billion or equivalent to USD 0.11 billion. In terms of
business performance in 2024, BLD Plantation successfully gained total revenue
of around MYR 1.75 billion or equivalent to USD 0.45 billion with net income of
around MYR 0.064 billion or equivalent to USD 0.016 billion.
16. Keck Seng (Malaysia) Berhad
The Keck Seng Group was founded in 1943 and in the
1960s, this group started its palm oil business into oil palm
plantations, palm oil milling, and kernel crushing. By 1979, it expanded
further into palm oil refining. As of now, Keck Seng Group manages a total land
area of 3,322 hectares, of which 3,187 hectares are dedicated to oil palm
cultivation.
Financially, according to its annual report of
2024, Keck Seng (Malaysia) Berhad has total assets of around MYR 3.17 billion
or equivalent to USD 0.82 billion with total liabilities of around MYR 0.307
billion or equivalent to USD 0.079 billion. In terms of business performance,
Keck Seng (Malaysia) Berhad successfully gained total revenue of around MYR
1.59 billion or equivalent to USD 0.41 billion with net income of MYR 0.143
billion or equivalent to USD 0.03 billion.
