Largest Palm Oil Companies from Indonesia. These data were obtained from the
Annual Report of Palm Oil Companies in 2023.
Commonly, oil palm trees (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) is one of the
world's most planted tree species in 2023. Many countries including Indonesia
planted this agricultural commodity because of the usefulness in making palm
oil, soap, cosmetics, and other derivative products. Statistically, total world's
production of Oil Palm Fruit in 2021 reached 416 million tons with harvested
areas around 29 million hectares (ha) and this oil still became one of the
world's most consumed vegetables oils.
Specifically, in countries statistics,
Indonesia still becomes the world's biggest country producer of oil palm fruits
in 2021. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the
production of oil palm fruit from Indonesia in 2021 reached 256 million tons.

locations, of 65% is in Indonesia, 26% in East Malaysia and 9% in Africa.
