Alibaba is a Chinese multinational company that specializes in e-commerce and technology. Until now, Alibaba is one of the biggest e-commerce companies in the world. The company owns and operates diverse businesses around the world in various sectors. Based on its history, Alibaba was founded by Jack Ma and Peng Lei in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China on April 4, 1999.

Lastly, Innovation initiatives and others segment includes businesses such as DAMO Academy, Tmall Genie and others. Other revenue also includes annual fees received from Ant Group or its affiliates in relation to the SME loans business.

Annually, Alibaba has always gained the net income and it always has grown. The revenue of Alibaba Group in 2015 just 76,204 million Renminbi (RMB) and in 2022, It becomes 853,062 million Renminbi (RMB). This has grown more than tenfold. In the net income variable, it showed good result but some problems about political conflicts between company and the Chinese Government can disturb the growth of net income. In 2015, the net Income of Alibaba Group is just 24,320 million Renminbi (RMB) and It turn into 7,079 million Renminbi (RMB) in 2022. Meanwhile, the pinnacle of the profit happens in 2021 with the value around 143 billion Renminbi (RMB).

Alibaba Cloud Financial Performance and Its Development from Time to Time
Alibaba Cloud, also known as Aliyun, is the Cloud Computing company that serves many cloud computing and web service products. Launched in 2009, R&D centers and operation centers are in Hangzhou, Beijing, and Silicon Valley, The Alibaba cloud has grown into positive performance.
Along with business development, Alibaba Cloud offers a complete suite of cloud services, including proprietary servers, elastic computing, storage, network, security, database and big data, and IoT services. In fiscal year 2022, Alibaba Cloud served more than 60% of A-share listed companies in China. In the International Market, As of March 31, 2022, Alibaba Cloud offers computing services in 27 regions globally and added new IDCs in Indonesia, Philippines, South Korea, Thailand and Germany in fiscal year 2022. According to IDC China Public Cloud, Alibaba Cloud is solidly positioned as the No. 1 cloud computing service provider in China. Meanwhile, in International Market, According to Gartner, Alibaba Cloud ranks 1st among cloud service providers in Asia Pacific, with a 19.6% market share and ranks 3rd among cloud service providers in terms of market share in the world, being a leader among providers in emerging markets.
Based on its products, Alibaba Cloud Provides multiproducts including Computing, Storage, Networking, Security, Container & Middleware, Database, Analytics Computing, AI & Machine Learning, CDN & Cloud Communication, Enterprise Services & Media Services, Internet of Things, Developer Tools, Operations and Maintenance, Apsara Stack. Of all the products, Alibaba Cloud has some featured products. Some of the fetured products are Elastic Compute Service (ECS), Simple Application Server (SAS), Server Load Balancer (SLB), Elastic IP Address (EIP), Object Storage Service (OSS), PolarDB, ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL, Domains, Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK), and Alibaba Cloud CDN.
Along with business development, the revenue of Alibaba cloud has grown positively from time to time. in 2015, the revenue of alibaba cloud is just 2,191 million Renminbi (RMB) and in 2022, It has grown into 74,568 million Renminbi (RMB). Based on its contribution to allibaba group, the Cloud business of Alibaba Group, Alibaba cloud, contributes around 9% of overall revenue of Alibaba group.
