Historically, this company was founded on 1872 with the name of Versicherungs-Verein (insurance associations).

The description was obtained from Balance sheet of Annual Report in from 2004 to 2021. Basically, balance sheet describes the financial position of the company. Based on its components, balance consist of Assets, Liabilities, and Equities. Basically, Assets is the physical and non-physical properties that company owned while running the business. Meanwhile, Liabilities is the obligation or debts that company owned that it must be paid off in the future. Lastly, Equities is difference value between assets and liabilities. Some called it as net assets.   

from 2004 to 2021, the assets, liabilities, and equities of Zurich insurance company has increased gradually. Assets has increased from 350 billion US Dollar to 435 billion US Dollars. Furthermore, liabilities has also in the same way with increasing value from 329 billion US Dollar to 396 billion US Dollar in 2021. Lastly, Equities has increase from 21 billion US Dollars to 39 billion US Dollar.

Form 2004 until 2021, the revenue of the company has slightly increased from time to time. in 2004, the revenue of company just still in 61 billion US Dollar and in 2021, it becomes 69 billion. Meanwhile, the company also stable in reaping the net income. in 2004, the Zurich’s net income is around 2.4 billion US Dollar and in 2021, the Zurich’s net income achieved 5.4 billion US Dollar.
