World’s Largest Country Producers of Gold - According
to the World Mining Database Report in 2024, there will be 30 world’s largest
country producers of Gold in 2022. These countries have a huge amount of gold
production. With these conditions, some countries can use gold to fulfil
domestic consumptions and some of them can trade or sell it to the other
countries so it can add their revenues.
Statistically, gold is a precious metal
that has a unique view for humans. It has luxurious perceptions, and most
people look at gold as an expensive source. Some goods that are made from gold
have an expensive price than ordinary goods (good without gold mixture). Based
on the statistical database from 2015-2022 of World Mining Data in 2024, the
production of gold in stable conditions. The production of 2015 reached 3.1
million kilograms and becomes 3.3 million kilograms in 2022.

1.China
China becomes the world’s largest country
producer of gold in 2022. Based on the World Mining Database in 2024, the
production of China’s gold reached 372,046 kilograms (kg). Based on the gold
area production, the mining activity has been concentrated in the eastern
provinces of Shandong, Henan, Fujian, Liaoning, Guizhou, and Yunnan. In this
country, there are some gold mining areas, namely Shaxi Copper Mine, Jiaojiao
Gold Mine, Dayingezhuang Gold Mine, Sanshandao Gold Mine, and Zaozigou Gold
Mine.
2.Russia
Russia is the 2nd world’s
largest country producer of gold in 2022. Based on the World Mining Database in
2024, the production of Russia’s gold reached 320,000 kilograms (kg).
Geographically, most of Russia's gold production comes from eastern regions,
namely Amur, Irkutsk, Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Magadan, and Sakha-Yakutia.
Based on the gold mining sites, there are some largest gold mining sites in
Russia These are Olimpiada Mine, Kupol and Dvoinoye Mine, Natalka Mine,
Blagodatnoye Mine, and Gross Project.
3.Australia
Australia is the 3rd world’s
largest country producer of gold in 2022. Based on the World Mining Database in
2024, the production of Australia’s gold reached 302,642 kilograms (kg). Geographically, in Australia, the gold
mining is concentrated in Western Australia. Some of the gold mining areas in
Australia are Cadia Valley or Cadia-Ridgeway Mine, Boddington Gold Mine,
Fosterville Gold Mine, Tropicana Gold Mine, and Kalgoorlie Super Pit.
4.Canada
Canada is the 4th world's
largest country producer of gold in 2022.
In that year, the production of gold from this country reached 205,831 kilograms (kg). In this
country, Ontario and Quebec become the largest contributor of gold from Canada.
Some of Canadian gold mining sites are Canadian Malartic Mine, Detour Lake
Project, Bruce jack Project, Porcupine Mine, and Meliadine Project.
5.United States of America (USA)
The United States of America become the 5th
world’s largest country producer of gold in 2022. Based on the World Mining
Database in 2024, the production of gold from Abraham Lincoln’s country reached
173,000 kilograms (kg). In this country, the states of Nevada, Alaska,
Colorado, California, and Arizona become the largest contributor of gold
production in the United States of America.
6.Mexico
Mexico is the 6th world’s
largest country producer of gold in 2022. Statistically, the production of gold
from Mexico reached 147,674
kilograms (kg). Geographically, Sonora, Zacatecas, Chihuahua, Durango, and
Guerrero are some of the regions in Mexico that have the largest production of
gold. In this country, there are several gold mines in Mexico. Some of them are
Camino Rojo mine, Cerro de San Pedro, Los Filos mine, Morelos mine, Naranjal
mine, Ojuela, and Peñasquito Polymetallic Mine.

regions that have the largest production of gold. These provinces are Akmola,
East Kazakhstan, and Karagandy. Specifically, based on the sites, there are
some gold mining sites in Kazakhstan. These sites are Altyntau Kokshetau Mine,
Kyzyl Project, Bozshakol Mine, Ridder-Sokolny Mine, and Pustynnoe Mine.

Ghana is the 8th largest country

10. Peru
Peru is the 10th world’s largest
country producer of gold in 2022. Based on the World Mining Data in 2021, the
production of Gold from Peru reached 96,966
kilograms (kg). Cajamarca, Cuajone, Moquegua, La libertad are some of the
regions in Peru that produce gold. Specifically, there are some gold mining
sites in Peru. These sites are Yanacocha Mine, Cuajone Mine, Florencia and
Santa Rosa Mine, Marsa Mine, and Retamas Mine.
11. Indonesia
Indonesia is the 11th world’s
largest country producer of gold in 2022.

Indonesia reached 96,800 kilograms

located in the La Paz region, including in the mountains and forests of the
