Overall, in the year 2025, BYD Auto successfully continued their rapid development with a total sales volume of 4.6 million new energy vehicles (NEVs), including both battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs).

Geely was founded by Eeric Li (Li Shufu) at Taizhuo, Zhijian Province in 1986 as refrigerator Manufacturer and in the year of 1997, Gelly started its business in Automotive. Along with business development, in March 2010, Geely Holding acquired 100% of Volvo Car Corporation from Ford Motor Company. Furthermore, in 2028, Gelly Holding also bought minority shares of Daimler AG with a percentage of around 9.69 %. Operationally, as of 2025, Geely has manufacturing facilities all over China, namely Hangzhou, Ningbo, Taizhou, Chengdu, Jinzhong, Xi'an with Research & Development (R&D) facilities located in Hangzhou (China), Ningbo (China), Gothenburg (Sweden), Coventry (UK).
