1.Russian Federation    

Russia is the biggest producer of Dry Buttermilk in 2020. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the production of Buttermilk from Russia reached 62,460 tonnes. Geographically, the main area of buttermilk can be found in some regions. Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Krasnodar, Altai, Rostov, Voronezh, Dagestan and Udmurt are some regions with huge production of buttermilk. these regions produde more milk than any other milk in Russia.

2.United States of America        

United States of America (USA) is the second biggest country producer of dry buttermilk behind Russia. Statistically, the production of Buttermilk from Abraham Lincoln’s country reached 57,518 tonnes. in this country, the main area of buttermilk production can be found in California, Wisconsin, Idaho, Texas, and New York. These states basically have huge production of milk than any other states in USA.

3.Canada

Canada becomes the third biggest producer in the world of 2020. According to FAO Statistical Corporate database, the production of buttermilk from Canada reached 39,304 tonnes. Geographically, Quebec is the largest dairy producing province, Ontario and British Columbia follow in second and third places the main area of buttermilk production in Canada. 4.New Zealand 

New Zealand is the fourth biggest producer of dry buttermilk in 2020. The production of dry buttermilk from New Zealand achieved 34,500 tonnes. Ireland is the next biggest producer of buttermilk in 2020. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database in 2020, the production of buttermilk from Ireland reached 29,100 tonnes. Geograhically, the buttermilk production can be traced by the population of cows and farmers in Ireland. Cork, Tipperary, Limerick, Kerry, Monaghan are some country that has huge dairy farmers and it can be the source in making the buttermilk.

6.France            

France is the 6th biggest producer of buttermilk in 2020. Statistically, the production of buttermilk is around 26,170 tonnes. Geographically, Britanny, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, Pays de la Loire, Normandy, Hauts-de-France, Grand Est are some area of main area of cow’s milk in France. Buttermilk probably comes from this region of France.

7.Germany

Geograhically, in Germany, the buttermilk can be found in Northwestern part of the country (Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia) as well as the Bavaria region in the South Eastern part of Germany. Belarus is th 8th biggest producer of Buttermilk in 2020. Based on the FAO database, the production of dry buttermilk from Belarus reached 23,691 tonnes.

9.United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is the 9th biggest producer of Dry Buttermilk in 2020. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the production of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland reached 20,678 tonnes. Geograhically, in United Kingdom, the main area of buttermilk production can be found in some counties. These counties are Devon,  Dyfed,  Cumbria,  Cheshire , Dumfries/Galloway, Lancashire , Cornwall , and Shopshire.

10.China, mainland       

China is the 10th biggest producer of dry buttermilk in2020. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database, the production of Dry buttermilk reached 19,999 tonnes. Geographically, in China, the main area of buttermilk production can be found in some provinces.  These include Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Hebei, Shandong, and Xinjiang.
