According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the production of Whey from United States of America (USA) reached 434,994 tons in 2020. Functionally, in the United States of America (USA), the production of whey is allocated into human consumptions, amounting 65% of total production and animal feed (35% of USA production) (Chalermthai et al., 2019). Geographically, according to its States, Wisconsin still becomes the largest producer of whey in the stars and stripes country.
