FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the are 10 China's Most-Produced
Agriculture Commodities. Basically, this agricultural commodity has huge
production in China. China is one
the biggest country on economic sectors. With huge population around 1.4
billion of people until 2021, China has Gross Domestic Products (GDP) around
17.73 trillion US Dollars according to World Bank Database in 2021. After Deng
Xiaoping revolutionized the economy China, this country can develop to be the
biggest economy in the World besides the United States of America (USA).
Based on the GDP's contribution, Industry and service still become the major contributors of GDP in China. Industry sector can contribute around 40.5% while the service can contribute around 51.6%. 1.Maize (corn)
Maize (Zea mays) still become the
most-produced agriculture commodities From China. Statistically, according to
FAO Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the production of Maize from
China reached 277,415,553 tons in 2022. Geographically, in China, there are
some provinces that has huge production of maize. Jilin, Shandong,
Heilongjiang, Hebei, Henan are some of the main regions in China. Culturally, this
“Panda country”, Maize has a function as a staple crop in China that is used
for many purposes, including Food, Animal feed, Industrial materials.
2.Rice
Rice (oryza sativa) become the 2nd
most produced-agriculture commodities from China after Maize. Statistically,
the production of Rice from China reached 210,070,800 tons. Geographically,
there are some regions of rice production. Some of them are Heilongjiang,
Hunan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, and Anhui are some of the main regions of rice
cultivation in China. Just like corn, many Chinese people consider rice as
their staple food.
3.Wheat
Wheat is the 3rd world’s most-produced
agriculture commodities from China in 2022. According to FAO Statistical
Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the production of wheat from China reached 137,726,000
tons. In China, based on the type of wheat, there are two types of wheat,
namely Winter Wheat and Spring Wheat. Winter wheat contributes
more than 90% annual production of wheat in China. Meanwhile, Spring wheat just
contribute around 5% of annual production of wheat in China. Based on the
regions, the cultivation of winter wheat in china can be found in Henan,
Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui, and Hebei. These regions become the main regions of
winter wheat cultivation in China. Meanwhile, the growing area of spring wheat
in china can be mostly found in Xinjiang, Gansu, and Nei Mongolia.
4.Sugar cane
Sugarcane is the 4th
most-produced agriculture commodities from China in 2022. According to FAO
Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT), the production of Sugarcane from
China reached 103,905,196 tons. Geographically, in China, there are many
regions as the sugarcane production. Based on the statista, the production area
in China located in Guangxi, Yunnan, Guangdong, Hainan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, and
Zhejiang. Funtionally, most of sugarcane processed as sweteners (sugar) and the
rest of this can be processed into biofuel, bagasse, and animal feed.
5.Potatoes
Potatoes is the 5th most-produced
agriculture commodities from China in 2022. According to FAO statistical Corporate
Database (FAOSTAT), the production of Potatoes from China reached 95,631,396
tons. Geographically, the main regions of potatoes in china can be found in
North China (Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Shanxi,
Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu, Qinghai and Xinjiang) and Southwest China (Yunnan,
Guizhou, Sichuan, Chongqing, Tibet, Hubei and Hunan).
6.Cucumbers and gherkins
Cucumber and Gherkins is the 6th
most-produced agriculture commodities from China in 2022. Statistically, in 2022,
the production of Cucumber dan Gherkins from China reached 77,307,299 tons. Geographically,
the main regions of cucumber in china can be found in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei,
Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu,
Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai,
Ningxia, and Xinjiang
7.Tomatoes
Tomatoes is the next-biggest agriculture

(FAOSTAT), the production of Tomatoes from China reached 68,341,800 tons. Geographically,
Xinjiang still became the largest production area for tomatoes in China.
8.Watermelons
Watermelons is the next-biggest agriculture
commodities from China. According to FAO Statistical Corporate Database
(FAOSTAT), the production of Watermelons from China reached 60,542,203 tons. Geographically,
Henan, Hunan, and Shandong still become the main regions of Watermelon in
China. Watermelon is one of the most produced fruits in China and still becoma favorables
in China. Globally, the 70% of world’s production of Watermelon comes from
China.
9.Meat of pig with the bone, fresh or chilled
Meat of Pig still become the most-favourable
animal meat in China. Statistically, the production of Meat of pig reached 56,321,097
tons. Geographically, in china, there are some regions of pig production in
China. These regions can be found in Yangzi River region (Sichuan, Chongqing
city, Guizhou, Hunan, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces)
contributin 43.8% of national pork production. Furthermore, Northern China
region (Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces) contributes around 21.6% of
national pork production. Northeastern region (Liaoning, Jinlin and
Heilongjiang provinces) supplying 6.3% of national pork production and Southeastern
coast region (Fujian, Guangdong, Yunnan and Hainan) with 13.2% of pork
contribution.
10. Apples

popular fruits in China. Statistically, total production of Apples in China
reached 57,573,200 tons. Geographically, there
Apple Plantation in China located in Shandong, Liaoning, Hebei, and Henan
provinces in the Bohai Bay area followed by Shaanxi, Shanxi, and Gansu
provinces in the Loess Plateau area (Na et al., 2016). Culturally, in Chinese
