10 World’s Biggest Country Producers of Wine

World’s Biggest Country Producers of Wine -Wine is
a famous drinking product of grape fermented process. Some countries are
favoured with this beverage. Wine is an alcoholic beverage that is made from
fermented grapes. Chemically, because of the natural chemical balance on the
molecules of grapes, the fermentation process of grapes can do nothing with
addition of sugar, acids, enzymes, water, or other nutrients.
In the fermentation process, the yeast,
commonly used Saccharomyces cerevisiae,
Kloeckera (Teleomorph Hanseniaspora),
Candida, Brettanomyces (Teleomorph
Dekkera), will consume the sugar content of the wine and convert it into
ethanol and carbon dioxide. Of course, different variations of the type of
grapes and yeast will produce diverse types of wine.
Commonly, there are several types of wine,
namely, Red Wine, White Wine, Rose Wine, Sparkling Wine, Sweet Wine, and
Fortified Wine. There are more of them because of technologies and new
breakthroughs in processing systems.
Statistically, according to the FAO
Statistical Corporate Database (FAOSTAT) in 2024, the world’s production of
wine from time to time is relatively flat. In the year of 1970, the world’s
production of Wine reached 30 million tons. Meanwhile, after more than 50
years, exactly in 2022, the world’s production of wine just 27.3 million tons.
